The analyst's take on Veeco Instruments Inc.

Veeco Instruments Inc. has grown revenue from $332.45M to $664.29M over the last 10 fiscal years, compounding about 7.9% a year. The most recent year was down 7.4%, so growth has cooled from its longer-run pace.

Net margin sits at 5.3%, down 5 points year over year on a 40% gross margin. It carries about $226.01M of total debt.

At today's valuation the market is pricing in roughly 26% annual free-cash-flow growth — versus the 8% it actually delivered over the last five years, so the price already assumes a step-up from the recent record. The one thing worth a second look in the filings is receivables growing faster than sales.
