The analyst's take on Minerals Technologies Inc.

Minerals Technologies Inc. has grown revenue from $1.64B to $2.07B over the last 10 fiscal years, compounding about 5.4% a year. The most recent year was down 2.2%, so growth has cooled from its longer-run pace.

Net margin sits at -0.9%, down 8.8 points year over year on a 25% gross margin. It carries about $961.70M of total debt.

At today's valuation the market is pricing in roughly 12% annual free-cash-flow growth — versus the -13% it actually delivered over the last five years, so the price already assumes a step-up from the recent record. The one thing worth a second look in the filings is currently unprofitable.
