The analyst's take on Element Solutions Inc

Element Solutions Inc has grown revenue from $1.77B to $2.55B over the last 10 fiscal years, compounding about 6.6% a year. The most recent year was up 3.8%, so growth has cooled from its longer-run pace.

Net margin sits at 7.5%, down 2.4 points year over year on a 42% gross margin. It carries about $1.64B of total debt.

At today's valuation the market is pricing in roughly 18% annual free-cash-flow growth — versus the -1.6% it actually delivered over the last five years, so the price already assumes a step-up from the recent record. The one thing worth a second look in the filings is heavy debt load.
